As a practitioner, I’m able to arrange a wide range of functional blood tests for clients across Australia and New Zealand. These tests can provide valuable insights into key health markers - from hormones and thyroid function to nutrient status, food reactions, fertility markers, and more.

There are over 180 different tests available, and together we can determine which ones are most appropriate based on your symptoms, goals, and health history.

Blood tests can be organised during any of our sessions. Once the determined tests are selected and payment is made, a pathology request form will be emailed directly to you. You can then complete the testing at your convenience through your local pathology collection centre.

Please note: fees vary depending on the specific tests required and are set by the testing provider. Contact us for further information.

True wellness is so much more than what we eat.

The last week (or two) have kicked my arse - the kind of busy that leaves you feeling stretched thin in every direction. And yet, even in seasons like this, the smallest consistent habits can quietly support us.

Most mornings, before the day fully kicks off, I open my Insight Timer app. Just a few minutes to breathe, to land, to prepare myself for the day ahead.

Today marks 1,000 consecutive days of that practice. A milestone that feels less like an achievement, and more like a gentle reminder: tending to your mind matters. Showing up for yourself matters.

It’s not always a long session - sometimes it’s five minutes - but it’s something. And it helps, more than I often realise in the moment.

~ RECIPE TIME! ~

For some reason, I’ve been asked for this recipe a lot lately. You can change it up however you’d like (I did that very thing from a recipe I randomly found years ago), but this is how I make mine. And if you’re vegan? Swap for flax eggs instead 😊

INGREDIENTS FOR LOADED BANANA BREAD:

- 3 ripe bananas - mashed
- ¾ cup fresh or frozen blueberries (if frozen, drain off extra liquid)
- The pulp from 1-2 fresh passionfruit
- 1 TBSP melted coconut oil
- 2 TBSP maple syrup
- 3 eggs

- 1 cup almond meal
- ¾ cup hazelnut meal
- 1 tsp bicarb soda
- Pinch of sea salt

OPTIONAL add-ins –

- 2-3 TBSP sprouted brown rice protein powder, or unflavoured protein powder of choice

- ¼ cup DF chocolate chips (I use Honest to Goodness, Organic Dark Chocolate Drops IF I add these)

- ¼ cup mixed activate nuts – either mixed through, or chopped and sprinkled over the top. Your choice.

- ¼ cup shredded coconut – either mixed through, or chopped and sprinkled over the top. Your choice.

DIRECTIONS:

My oven runs hot – so I usually bake at around 170C. Preheat your oven, and grease/line a loaf tin to your preference (I use coconut oil for this one).

Add all of the wet ingredients to a bowl and mix well.

Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until combined (you want a thick mixture. If it’s too wet or thin – depending on add-ins – then add a TBSP or two more of almond or hazelnut meal).

Spread the mixture into your loaf tin, and if adding mixed nuts or shredded coconut on top, do so now.

Place in the oven and bake until a skewer comes out clean. Depending on what add-ins I use on the day, that can be anywhere from 40-55 mins.

Allow to cool in the tin, then remove and either slice and enjoy, or if you want to take it to the next level, I cut in half from end to end, and fill with a whipped coconut cream mixture… If anyone wants the recipe for that, just let me know 😉 Enjoy!

I started learning how to make GF sourdough in 2025 (I'd never made any type of sourdough prior to that).

I'm having more fun scoring and experimenting with flavours, than anything else! I have no idea if the inside is how it's meant to look, but the taste is lovely and we all enjoy it, so that's good enough for me 😊

At the movies with my kids — smiling on the outside, quietly falling apart on the inside.

What they didn’t know (and what I didn’t yet understand) was that I’d just had my first panic attack. More followed during the movie, and the weeks after were a constant mental and emotional battle I carried silently.

That period became the catalyst for everything that came next.

Learning. Unlearning. Asking better questions. Making changes to truly support myself.

It was seriously hot here today 🥵, so a salad was definitely the way to go for dinner! We ended up with a dukkah coated chicken breast, watermelon + grilled haloumi salad 🥗 It sounds random, but by the time I added in:

🥗 Mixed leaf lettuce
🥗 Grated carrot
🥗 Spanish onion
🥗 Homegrown yellow tomatoes, basil + mint
🥗 A seed mix of pepitas, hemp + sesame

If I get asked about my study choices — why I chose what I did, and why I keep going — this is my answer.

When I first took the leap into my Functional Nutrition qualification, I thought I’d simply be learning about food + nutrients.

But it became clear, very quickly, that true health is so much more than what we eat. And once you see how everything in the body is connected, you can’t unsee it.

I began to understand the bigger picture — how our hormones, nervous system, gut health, environment + mindset all weave together.

🥓 Loaded Maple Bacon Meatloaf 🥓

Tonight's dinner is loaded with so much goodness and it smells amazing 😍 grass-fed and finished beef, nitrate and sugar-free bacon from the local farmer's market, plus whatever goodies I could find in our garden. ✨ From Rust to Retreat ✨

When I first laid eyes on this little old caravan, she was unloved, tired, and honestly a bit of a mess. But I saw something more… A chance to create a calm, peaceful space, and a chance to create a happy place, where women could feel supported, grounded, and inspired.

Fast forward through paint splatters, late-night DIY sessions, and a whole lot of love — and for over 12 months, she’s become my sanctuary. 💕 This is where I hold space, dream up new ways to support your health, plus learn + create with a clear, calm mind.

The kitchen is one of my happy places, and I find it incredibly rewarding plating up delicious + nutritious meals for my family 💖

Is the kitchen your happy place, too? If not, these are some things that work for me:

🥗 Eating seasonally
🥑 Eating a variety, not just buying the same things all the time
🍉 Eat the rainbow! Play around with colourful foods
🍇 Buy organic, as you're able to, if not, then wash your fresh fruit and vegetables really well! (Either with an actual fruit & vege wash, or in a bicarb soda/water solution)
🥜 Pick an ingredient that you all love, (could be meat, a vegetable, a grain, anything!) and make something new with it
🧄 Play around with flavours - turmeric, garlic, ginger, for example
🥕 Make your meals 'loaded'. E.g. My spaghetti bolognese contains grated carrot + zucchini, onion, as well as fresh garlic, oregano, tomatoes, spinach, silverbeet, spring onions, whatever is growing at the time, really!
🥦 Challenge yourself by choosing something you would normally walk right past, and make it something you'd choose again and again. For me? It's Brussels sprouts! Cook them up with nitrate-free bacon, garlic, olive oil, plus salt + pepper. Amazing 👌
🍄 Boost the nutritional content of your meals by adding things like mushrooms, bone broth or freeze-dried beef liver/organs (don't knock it until you try it 😆)

Dropping gluten, preservatives, additives, and most of the other nasties that get added to our 'food', cleaning products, and personal care products, was a little overwhelming to start with, I'm not going to lie. Now, 4+ years on, and I haven't looked back! The impact it has made to my mental health, gut health, and hormone health has been amazing, and in the process, I've supported the overall health of my family, too. From there I went on to educate myself, and became a qualified Women's Health Coach + Functional Nutrition Consultant, to support others going through something similar.

As a practitioner, I’m able to arrange a wide range of functional blood tests for clients across Australia and New Zealand. These tests can provide valuable insights into key health markers - from hormones and thyroid function to nutrient status, food reactions, fertility markers, and more.

There are over 180 different tests available, and together we can determine which ones are most appropriate based on your symptoms, goals, and health history.

Blood tests can be organised during any of our sessions. Once the determined tests are selected and payment is made, a pathology request form will be emailed directly to you. You can then complete the testing at your convenience through your local pathology collection centre.

Please note: fees vary depending on the specific tests required and are set by the testing provider. Contact us for further information.
